Conducted during late 2006 and early 2007, this preliminary research project engaged twenty senior executives and non-executive directors from nineteen different organizations, to establish their views on how effectively their organizations direct and control IT.

A 32 point questionnaire, framed using AS8015 was used to solicit views about the behaviours exhibited, and outcomes delivered by their respective organizations. This data was then qualified by interviews with a cross-section of participants.

The results are compelling, and make it clear that further research is warranted.
